A zombie virus ravages the world. The only country that gets a handle on things is the United States, who contain the virus on the West Coast. Many years later, a child is born who seems to be immune to it. The survivor group caring for the child is now faced with three questions:
1) How can they possibly prove the child is immune?
2) If he is, how can they create an antidote from his blood?
3) How can they distribute it?
The pursuit of these three answers is what drives the bulk of the story. The team makes their way up and down the West Coast, encountering numerous side adventures and dangers as they search for a way to save humanity.
